Wind resource assessment is carried out through field measurements for the development of wind energy utilization
The data and information generated thus is to be consolidated for the preparation of a National wind resource atlas and exploitation of wind energy
At present, dedicated 50 meter/80 meter guyed masts with multilevel instrumentation are being used for the investigation with reliable and fully automated instruments that can give the necessary output for the wind resource assessment is being used at all the field stations in Assam
